The problem is none of you guys show someone how to see the spark when you’re standing behind a bridge and Stratton push push more you cannot see if there’s spark when you pull the rope I need some kind of mirror or tool that has an extension that I can bring up to my hands and see if I have a spark but nobody has done that yet can you

I have this exact machine. Your video is the only information/pics I can find on it. Do you have the make and model # for this machine, I can't find it on mine (bought used) and would like to research an owner's manual for it.

Older Stihl equipment is fine as long as you can get parts for them. I have an FS80 and a few years ago, I was lucky enough to have the throttle cable break while you could still get them even if they were discontinued. I live in Southeastern Ontario and a (fairly) local Stihl dealership had to get one from a dealership in Alberta. If I remember correctly, it was only of four left in Canada.

Can I fix it with tools from Temu?

My brother in law has a pacemaker, and his doctor told him no more welding and no gas chainsaws. Not sure why. So... He bought an electric one and loves it.

Obviously, this plastic shaft for the choke control is too weak for this task. With the size of the knob, we can easily break it. I believe that this happens quite often.

Kind of a shame really that even good quality brand machines its not worth the money for parts to replace them. Brand new essentially but one mistake and messed up part and all the rest of that good machinery goes to waste.

I like to buy the cans of pre-mixed fuel/oil. Yeah, it's a lot more expensive than mixing myself but it's in a small sealed container so it's not going to go bad on the shelf, and the containers are small enough I'll use it up before it goes bad once I open it. If I was a professional, the economics of mixing my own might make sense, but for just an average homeowner, pre-mix is the way to go.

I sprayed DW 40 into the filter because my neighbor said it would work since I didn't have fluid. Now the engine starts to smoke, but it's white smoke so I'm not sure if it's burning out the dw40
